Two Dim Rams
Jun. 24th, 2010 11:46 pmI'm looking to sell some sweet DDR3 RAM. It's 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) Patriot PC3-10666 - 1333MHz.
Why am I selling this RAM? Because I made a bone-head move and did not properly research whether the RAM would work with my motherboard--it doesn't; my board has DDR2 slots, which are not compatible with DDR3. Return options are unfavorable. The sticks are new/unused with packaging, but not sealed.
I'm asking $95 for the sticks. Contact me at CallsLightning at gmail dot com if you're interested.

I am no expert on sheep breeding but DDR3 could easily be a desirable breed. "4 GB" simply means the animal in question has 4 large legs ("2 x 2" so you are sure they are 2 in the front and 2 in the back), it comes from the German "grossbein". I don't know what all that other stuff means (i assume its something about the sheep's dental patterns because that stuff is important to sheep people) but if the sub-breed has "Patriot" in it you know two things: 1) It's good. 2) It's American.

Again, I am not claiming to be an expert but I do know that male sheep like to climb. I am guessing a "motherboard" is the rams favorite climbing apparatus. It does not surprise me at all that some breeds are incompatible with certain board configurations. I had a cat once that liked narrow ledges but would never climb on wide planks. Anyway, it sounds to me like ones the ram owner realized his mistake the person who sold it to him was not going to let me off cheaply (maybe the original seller is a bit arrogant about his "motherboard" knowledge and the current owner is embarrassed about his mistake). It is also that the current ram owner does not have adequate transport to return the ram (there are pretty strict laws about transporting sheep, you cannot just stick in your trunk!!).
Because I am not an expert, I do not know the latest "sheep" lingo but "sticks" are apparently what the hip "sheeping set" call their rams. Cool.
