Does anyone know the best place to get maple sugar candy in this area? I'm leaving for the South tomorrow, and thought I'd bring some as gifts. Thanks!

I know Hidden Sweets in Harvard Square has it, or at least, they did the last time I was in there.

Also Cardullo's has a whole section of regional sweets along the far left wall- "Baked Beans", maple candy, maple syrup, everything.

I've seen (and purchased!) them at Whole Foods in Medford in the checkout area before (though I can't recall seeing them recently).

Pemberton's on Mass Ave (the market/garden center not the convenience store) has an impressive candy section with much local and funky things.

while this won't help you,e searching on this subject in the future, Ben's Maple Syrup (http://www.bens-maple-syrup.com/) goes to the Prudential and Kendall Square farmer's markets, and in addition to carrying the candy *also* has maple syrup cotton candy.

and oh my *god* is it good.
