apartment opinions needed

I recently saw a unit at 154 Cedar St. (the large blue building next to the bike path on Cedar). Has anyone here had any experience renting in this building? Are there any hidden flaws or stupid rental clauses? Anything you can tell me about the place would be useful. Please follow up with details by message if necessary.

I looked at a unit in that building when I was moving a few months ago. Not having actually lived there, I don't know how useful my opinion is, but the apartment we saw seemed a little...well-worn. The carpet was old and coming undone in places. We asked if they might be able to replace it before we moved in, and they said no. The building, itself, seemed great, though. Awesome location!

honestly, if you care that much just hang out by the building until someone comes home and talk to them. you'd be more likely to get useful info that way.

i suspect my mileage may vary -- i currently live on Highland Ave. (insert bus, truck, ambulance, & drunken conversation here...)

I lived there from 2000 to 2004 in a basement unit. I had something stolen from me, through an open window (we were basement level, do'h). There was also a persistent issue of people using the stairwell up near the fourth floor doing things you wouldn't like.

On the other hand, it has been six years. *shrug*
