Buying new laptop

I want to buy a new computer and would prefer to support a local business if the price is right. I won't go to Best Buy after a previous terrible experience buying a computer there. Any recommendations or should I just order online?

There is Angeltronics in Ball Sq( used to be in Davis ), he sometimes has laptops.
