I don't know who's really able to attend a mid-day weekday performance, but if you are, check this out:
Wednesday, July 28th @ 1pm
Join us for a special FREE mid-day performance and demonstration on Behind the Mask Studio and Theatre's new outdoor stage.
Slapstick blasphemy and cannibalism!
Somerville-based mime, commedia dell'arte performer, and playwright Ian Thal presents his one act-play Arlecchino Am Ravenous, a story of the impishly lustful Arlecchino, who, so driven mad by hunger has a blasphemous theophany during which he storms heaven and hell in search of a meal gaining not a glimmer of spiritual enlightenment in the process.
Ian Thal trained as a mime with James Van Looy with whom he co-founded Cosmic Spelunker Theater. He has also performed with Bread and Puppet Theatre and i Sebastiani. He teaches mime and commedia at the Somerville-based OpenAir Circus and has also taught classes at Wheelock Family Theatre, The Huntington Theatre, and the Stoneham Theatre. His play, Total War, was a semi-finalist for the 2009 Dorothy Silver Playwriting Award.
Behind the Mask Studio and Theatre was founded by master maskmaker, Eric Bornstein and is the area's premier mask making studio. It is located at
6 Campbell Park Place, Davis Square, Somerville, MA
(Enter through the driveway.)

So thanks for putting his name to his face for me. He seems like a very cool guy, and was friends with several of my art school friends, I think.
