Don't forget:

Permit parking enforcement will resume twenty-four hours after the snow emergency has been lifted. It is the responsibility of the resident to clean off their vehicle and ensure their Residential or Visitor parking permit is visible. Parking Control Officers are not authorized to remove snow from any vehicle. If the permit is not visible the vehicle WILL be ticketed for Permit Parking Violation.

City Ordinance restricts any vehicle from remaining in the same space on any street for a period exceeding 48 hours. This violation will be strictly enforced on both the odd and even sides of the street 48 hours after the snow emergency has been lifted. Failure to comply will result in the ticketing and potential towing of the vehicle.

what if you're parked in a space and then you drive to work, come home, and park in the same space?

considering it's impossible to park a car on the even side of my street because of all the (unplowed) snow, how nice of them to allow you to park there again....

man, i should just leave my car at my parents' house for the rest of the winter.

they know you went to work, because.....

Yeah, good freaking luck finding somewhere else to park. I may not drive to work until March.

I find it funny that they're not authorised to brush snow off a window, but it is less of a personal violation for them to hook your car up to a truck and haul it away? certainly they'll have to brush snow off the car to do that.

What?! That's crazy. It sounds like something they came up with after someone complained about it being an "invasion of privacy" (or maybe the ticket-givers complained about being required to clean snow off cars).

From experience (I wish I knew why our local parking nazi hated my Jeep so much) they will go to great efforts to clear off your licence plate if you have any snow that at all interfers with your parking permit. They will then give you a second ticket 24 hours late and a large notice threatening to tow your car.Want to see my collection from Christmas holiday?
