So I am contesting a ticket & received the date that Traffic & Parking has scheduled my hearing for, however I will be out of town for a work conference. I called 311 to change my date & they said it wouldn't be a problem, connected me to another line which rang endlessly. Finally someone picked it up & hung up. I waited a while figuring they must be really busy & called back later. Same thing happened again. How is one supposed to change their hearing date & time if no one will answer their calls at Traffic & Parking????? I don't want to get in trouble for not showing up to a hearing that I am trying desperately to change.

How about calling back a 3rd time and mentioning this problem to the 311 operator, maybe that person can forward you to a different number or contact someone at the traffic and parking office to find out what's going on.

You can actually go to the parking office and go for a hearing at any time (except for Mondays, I believe). Just sign in on the sheet outside the office for hearings.
