Huge 2 BR Apartment for rent, 10 minute walk to Davis

New to the neighborhood, but a friendly neighbor clued us into the popularity of Live Journal in Davis.  It's pretty neat!  My boyfriend just bought a 2 family, and is looking to rent out 1 of those families.  He's very handy and has done a lot of fixing up over the past few weeks.  Unfortunately that left us in a sort of weird timeframe for adverstising a rental.  Here's the detailed listing on CL (with pictures) for this 2 BR which really is something special.  I've looked at many apartments in the area over the years, and if I had come across this one I'd have been thrilled. . .

Something not mentioned on CL - move in now and the rest of September is free.  1st and security due at lease signing.

My understanding is that it is a two-family house in which one unit is mostly first floor, with a room or two on the second, and the other unit is the rest of the 2nd floor and the 3rd floor.
Why it's called that, I don't know.

(Many of the houses in the area bounded by college/morrison/cedar/broadway are like this.)

That description is accurate of this house, and also my understanding of what Philly style (in regards to real estate) is. I also went to school in Pennsylvania, and with regards to food, philly style definitely refers to a cheesesteak wit wiz :)

Yes, that is a Philadelpha style house. There are a bunch on Broadway (I used to live in one there).
