Sewing Classes
Feb. 14th, 2005 01:46 pmAfter beating myself up for ages over never finding anything that fits me right (too long, too wide, too short, too narrow and some ungodly combo of all of the above), I have decided that it will probably be easier for me to make my own clothing. I wear mostly larger Junior Miss sizes, but they don't make business casual clothing for Junior Misses and, frankly, I'm getting too old to not feel funny in a lot of newer fashions for teenaged girls. Conversely, I'm too wide for petites, too small for Lane Bryant and too short AND too wide for most other stores.
The point? Can anyone recommend a good place in the Somerville / Medford area who offers sewing classes? Or, if any of you are avid sewers / crafty type people with a little free time, would you like to teach a Domestic Idiot how to sew?
Thanks!
