He was 35, he lived in Somerville, and he shot himself to death in Harvard Yard last Saturday after leaving a 1905-page suicide note online.

Edit: The Harvard Crimson story says he lived on Craigie Street.

I didn't know him. But wow. I'm tempted to read his note because it looks like it might be an interesting piece of philosophy, but I'm afraid I'll just see the rantings of a delusional person and that will make me sad. Ironically, the circumstances of his death may make it impossible for me, or anyone else, to accurately judge whether his note is meaningful philosophy or delusion. It seems like that may have been part of his point.

Regardless, I'm glad the site is up and unblocked.

No, it's actually pretty easy to judge that his argument is self-inconsistent and that he cherry-picks his source material.

I was a little worried that the above comment might seem excessively frivolous, but after reading the Wicked Local story, framed with festive balloons (in honor of Arlington Town Day, apparently) I feel like I'm kind of in the clear.
