the Somerville Scout comics issue
Oct. 8th, 2010 10:27 amHi Davis squares,
My name is Liz Prince, please read below the cut to see some info about the newest issue of the Somerville Scout!
This month Somerville's local magazine, the Somerville Scout, is running a feature on local comic artists, and I was one of the artists profiled. In addition, Maris Wicks and I provided the cover for the issue, which is a hearty parody of the famed Action Comics #1. If you live in Somerville, then a copy has probably already arrived in your mailbox, but if you haven't gotten one, there are usually stacks left in many local businesses, like Diesel Cafe and Flatbreads.
Here is what the cover looks like, sans headlines:

and here's Maris and I posing with the final product, with Biggs the cat, who is the bus driver on the cover:

obviously girls just wanna have fun, amiright?
If you are interested in seeing more of my work, please visit my website LIZPRINCEPOWER.COM (not all ages appropriate at times). There is a store section that has most of my in print comics, including a book called Four Squares, which is a journal comic collaboration between 4 Somerville artists: Maris Wicks, Joe Quinones, and Tim Finn, all of whom are featured in this issue of the Scout! In addition, the great store Hub Comics usually has all of the aforementioned aritsts' books in stock, so check them out too!
Happy reading!
