Random bits of lumber?

Have you got bits of 2x4 or 1/2" plywood down in your basement or under the porch? Do you want to get rid of them? I'm doing some projects around the house, and I need a couple 3' lengths of 2x4 and a biggish bit of plywood (doesn't matter if the bits are bigger, I have the technology). Tags doesn't have anything sturdy enough, so I thought I'd see if anyone has semi-scrap lumber before I rent a Zipcar and haul out to Home Depot for two bits of wood. Thanks!

ETA: 9" square (or larger, of course) bits of plexiglas are also welcome.

You might also ask about scrap wood at Rockler on Mass Ave before heading to the Depot.. I've had good luck there in the past.

Thank you. I was actually totally unaware that Cambridge Lumber is a going concern. I go past it fairly often, and it looks abandoned.

I think I can help you out, but I'm about to head out for the weekend. I have plenty of pressboard (which, yes, is crappier than plywood, but it's what I got) and I believe I have some 2X4s as well. I'm not completely certain I can meet the 2X4 needs, but am pretty certain about the pressboard. Ping me at this username at gmail if you're interested!
