Lightsaber Building Workshop for Kids

The Parts and Crafts Collective invites you, your family, and your friends to come *Make Your Own Lightsaber* with us, this Saturday, October 23rd, 11am-3pm just in time for Halloween! Construction should take approximately 2 hours, so feel free to come for whatever portion of the event is convenient to you. Food will be served at around 1:00pm.

Learn some basic electronics while building a great toy, prop, or costume piece, for Halloween, or any other time!

The lightsaber building workshop will be held in the Parts and Crafts workshop, on 155 Powder House Boulevard in West Somerville (in the basement of the Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church). All ages are welcome, though younger ones will probably need some help from older folks with more dextrous fingers. $15-$25 suggested donation -- all are welcome, regardless of ability or desire to pay.

The Parts and Crafts Collective is a group of thinkers, teachers, and tinkerers in the Boston area who are interested in helping people build, think, create, succeed, fail, and learn. We run hands-on creative arts, science, and engineering programs for kids and adults to help people learn and do and make things.
