2nd Annual Tina DeLellis Luncheon at Highland Kitchen

Please join us for the Second Annual Tine DeLellis Luncheon, this year on October 29th, at the Highland Kitchen. The luncheon is held to honor the memory of Tina DeLellis, who passed away in 2008. DeLellis ran Johnny D's Restaurant in Somerville, which has been an important community partner of the Somerville Homeless Coalition for numerous years.

This year's luncheon will honor Nancy Aylward of Mayor Jospeh Curtatone's office. Requirements for consideration of the Tina DeLellis Distinguished Service Award include the reasons for its inception --- "to keep the memory of Tina DeLellis alive and to thank someone who embodies Tina's spirit and values of straight-shooting, honesty and fairness."

Nancy is a great choice for an honoree! She has helped so many people in our community, both at the Mayor's office and in her prior position in the Housing Department. She is patient, kind, smart and effective. She embodies the values of public and community service, and she's very modest and quiet about her work on behalf of residents - so it's often unnoticed. Which is why it's so nice of you to honor her and her work.
