Flyover this morning?

So, while we were walking this morning, a pair of jets flew low and loud over our heads. My husband suspects they are F-15s. I assume it was a celebratory flyover... but for what? Or did some of those Yemen packages wind up at Logan, causing some ruckus? Just curious if anyone had any information. My (cursory) search of Google News turned up nothing, but it was really cursory.

according to the globe, f-15s from the ma national guard escorted one of the planes (bomb plot) to JFK either yesterday or early this am. My bet is that they were flying back to westover (central/western MA)

Now I'm wondering why I didn't see or hear this. At 10 this morning I was bicycling down Brattle Street in Cambridge.

I feel like it was a little earlier than 10, though I was up at 8 and really don't have a good accounting for what I did all day.

It was pretty near exactly 10 - 10:01 or 10:02 - because I was sitting downstairs with my drapes still drawn, so didn't see what it was, and *immediately* went online to fill out the Logan complaint form! I felt kind of stupid when I later read on Universal Hub about the flyover, since thinking back they definitely didn't sound like the usual Logan plane, even the occasional one that seems to scrape our rooftop (Winter Hill).

Yeah it was only a minute or two past 10. I was sitting on my couch on the computer and it was so incredibly loud it scared me and my dogs. I called my husband who was working a block or two away and he couldnt believe how loud it was either. I seriously was waiting for a crash or bomb to go off.

Both of us just looked at each other and said "That was not a jet airliner." It was pretty funny at the time. I pretty much did the same thing all day, so yeah, not sure of the time.
