Dentist with Cerec machine near Somerville

I need to get a crown and want to find a dentist that has a Cerec machine so it can all be done in 1 visit. Has anyone had one of these done and/or know of a near by Dentist that can do it?

Any of the surrounding towns are fine, it doesn't have to be Davis Square. I just want someone who is *good*.

I had a crown done in that fashion before & it cracked before I got to the parking lot (wish I was kidding). Got it redone & the second one also cracked. I will say it wasn't done here, so maybe the dentists in this area are better with the cerec machine, but I myself will not get a crown done like that again. Just a warning.

Hirschberg dental associates in Post Office Sq. downtown has one.
The dental practice is excellent, I haven't had a crown since the machine arrived a couple of years ago.

I highly recommend Dr. Walk at Cosmetic Dentistry Center (www.cosdent.com) in Newton. I realize its a bit of a hike from Davis, but Dr. Walk is board certified in cosmetic dentistry (many dentists say they do cosmetic stuff but very few are actually highly trained). He has a great eye for aesthetics and is quite a perfectionist. I had 6 veneers put on by him in 2007. One came off a couple times because of my bite so he put a crown on that one this past May using their CEREC machine. It was fast and easy and looks great.

Needham Laser Dentistry in Needham. I live in Winter Hill and this place is so good I won't go anywhere else. Everything high-tech in an unassuming, small office. (I've had everything from routine cleanings to bonding and fillings done here). I had one surgery involving muscles and nerves and broken tooth repair done here (after an accident) and the recovery was very fast -- that's why I recommend them to anyone I know who's looking for an excellent dentist. The doctor is Dr. Ken Brede.

Dr. Brede is wonderful! I'd go back there in a heartbeat if it wasn't so far. His office is very well run and they have just the right balance of new technology and a low key, no pressure environment. He is very thorough but still gentle.

Dr. Eric Klein at Cambridge Smiles has this machine. I'll find out how well it works next month when I get my first-ever crown.
