377 Summer

Folks were asking about 377 Summer earlier on here.  I was at the ResiStat meeting and found out it's on track: 6 dwellings, I-beams are being installed, and the design review is ongoing.  Just for the curious.

isn't design review usually finished before construction starts?

I had to leave early, but the impression I got was they're handling details; the I-beam is for the overall frame of the structure.

Actually, I think they are usually done somewhat in parallel, with the foundation laid while large-scale design decisions are worked out, and then the large scale pieces put into place while the small-scale design decisions are made.
