Snow emergency declared at 3PM today

The City of Somerville will declare a snow emergency today at 3p.m. In
accordance with the City's policy, cars will be subject to ticketing and
towing at 7 p.m. Residents are advised to move their cars as soon as
possible to the odd side of the street or to a municipal parking lot. Visit

they never plow the even side of my street.

and because of the snow emergency, there arent any cars parked there to keep the snow from building up on that side of the street. then when the storm's over, it's impossible to park there, because of all the snow.

i thought the point of not allowing people to park on the even side was so it could be plowed.

Ditto for the side street I live on. They didn't bother plowing after the blizzard (well, maybe one drive-through when it was mid-storm), so for about two weeks the parking situation was a nightmare. One of my coworkers wrote an angry letter to the mayor's office and got a "standard response" letter in reply.

Just noticed the cars parked on the even side of my street getting ticketed (first time this season).
