DARBI's Midnight Madness in Davis Sq - Thursday 12/2

This Thursday, December 2nd, come to Davis Square and experience Midnight Madness! This event is put on by DARBI (Davis Area Resident/Business Initiative) every year to help support local retailers. Participating businesses include Artifaktori, Black & Blues, Boston Shaker, Dave's Fresh Pasta, Davis Squared, Kickass Cupcakes, La Chic Boutique, Magpie, Suneri, Sunshine Lucy, When Pigs Fly, and Zipcar.

Special shopping hours are from 6pm-Midnight, with many stores offering increasing discounts through the evening. Some stores often offer appetizers, cocktails & more to celebrate their customers. For example, this year, The Boston Shaker (69 Holland St) will be offering a special hot chocolate cocktail for their late night customers. In addition, Zipcar will have a tent set up in front of JP Licks and will be handing out shopping bags, with hot coffee & apple cider being donated by Johnny D’s and Redbones to keep our shoppers warm.

Look for the balloons at participating retailers & help support retail in Davis Square.

Suneri's email said that they are offering up to 50% off some items, a champagne toast at midnight, and "great gift ideas for under $100." Apparently, they will be posting deal info today on their Facebook.

Boston Shaker's hot cocktails are from Taza (guajillo mexican chili).

Dave's says, "Everything being tasted in-store is ON SALE! Wine & Beer Tastings, Taza Chocolate, Fiore Di Nonno Cheeses, Grillos Pickles and more"

Magpie has progressive discounts: 5% off every hour, starting at 6PM up to 30% off from 11-12.

Black & Blues is doing 6-8PM: 10% OFF; 8-9PM: 20% OFF; 9-11PM: 30% OFF; 11-12AM: 40% OFF

D Squared has progressive discounts: 10% (6-9PM); 15% (9-11 PM); 20% (11-12 PM)

I'm going to call all the other places today to see what they're offering. I'll post here any info that I get, as I usually do! I like to plan my Midnight Madness shopping in advance :).
