So, I'll be driving to Somerville with friends later today. How much snow fell?

And, are there any webcams that show Somerville? I found some on I-93, but it'd be nice to be able to see some local streets to see how things look...

Looking out my window, I estimate 8 inches so far, with lots of wind and therefore lots of drifting. The thing that makes this storm dangerous is that it's light fluffy meringue snow, which makes the roads extra slippery. From what I've heard, all nonessential workplaces are closed, just to keep cars off the roads.

Here's the one from the Science Center at Harvard, not too far from Somerville. It takes a long time to load, but gives a clear picture. Snow seems to have stopped, roads look clear. Good luck with parking! Remember odd side only!

Thanks. I think it's overloaded, as it is showing me no picture, and says "Image will update in      seconds" with no number.

It is still snowing right now in Davis Square. Or maybe that's just the wind blowing already-fallen snow around? Hard to tell for sure
