Join us for services followed by a potluck, dairy/vegetarian Shabbat lunch. In addition to the regular service, there will also be a children’s service at 11:30 a.m. Services at Havurat Shalom are egalitarian, lay-led and usually involve a lot of singing. The potluck is truly pot luck - no arranging of the dishes in advance. The meal is a good time to meet people and we welcome newcomers.

We provide childcare most Saturdays, from September through May, starting at 10:15 a.m., for children 18 months and older on a first come, first served basis.

We provide children's snacks on Saturdays.

The 1st floor of Havurat Shalom is wheelchair accessible, including the prayer room, dining room, living room, and bathroom. For the health of those with allergies and chemical sensitivities, we request that you not wear perfume, aftershave, or cologne to Havurat Shalom.

As a moderator in this community, I'd like to ask Havurat Shalom to please reduce the frequency of your posts to Davis Square LiveJournal. Could you consider posting once a month instead of weekly, listing all of your events for the coming four weeks? Thanks.

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I'll limit Havurat Shalom posts to once a month. We want to be good virtual citizens and we don't want to be annoying.

whenever something changes, I think we're totally ok with seeing it. I admit to skimming the boilerplate posting and worry that I'll miss something. also I've been curious for a while if you have a rentable commercial kitchen; I have been on assistance and employed intermittently for the past year, and so I'm starting a very small business and need a non-home based kitchen. you so often advertise meals that I was wondering.

(the items prepared is a line of syrups, salts, sugars and spices, all vegan).
