Davis Square co-op looking for a new home in Cambridge/Somerville

We are five professionals in our mid-twenties to forties looking for a new home to rent, preferably for February 1. Our landlord needs to move back into his house, so we need a new place to live. We've been living together for years and are awesome tenants -- we're hoping to find an awesome new landlord.

What we're looking for: A house or duplex with five or six bedrooms, common space for entertaining, a place outdoors for compost and a garden, storage space, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, and parking. We're looking for places that are walking distance from the T near Alewife, Davis, Porter, Harvard, Central, or Union, with a preference for walking distance to Davis (we love our current location, 2 minutes from the Davis T).

Who we are: We are computer programmers, book editors, lawyers, and teachers by day. By night, we are musicians, filmmakers, gardeners, social activists, balloon twisters, community builders, and potluck organizers. We are bike commuters, adventurous cooks, marmalade makers, bread bakers, live-lightly-on-the-earthers, mostly vegetarian, queer friendly, non-tv-watchers, urban homesteaders, and big laughers.

We care about our house and our neighbors, and are very responsible about cleanliness, rent, energy use, and communicating with our landlord. We live co-operatively, sharing food, cooking, and chores, working to make our house a home, and finding new roommates to be a part of our community when one has to leave. We are trustworthy tenants with long-term stability; we kept our current home occupied for four years without ever missing a month of rent.
