I wrote a letter last night (blog|lj repost) explaining in a slightly tongue in cheek fashion how I've wanted to work at Foundry on Elm (especially at the cocktail lounge that's been mentioned as coming in the future) for a while.

Even if I'm not a fit for the place, it was fun to write ;-)

(also, please don't take this the wrong way but for years of seeing your usesrname and icons i just had it in my head that you were a guy. no particular reason, kind of like when i read someone's username a certain [incorrect] way because i don't know the significance so i'm just making something out of the letters that makes sense to me. anyway, i'm stephanie too, is all ;p)

I cannot reply with a current pic, because I'm currently unpaid and so it picked a random selection, but this is still pretty close to what I look like now.

you aren't the first person to go there. I think at least in part because I got online for the first time at 13, in 1984: were 3 girls in my computer class of 25 kids; I was 'the girl' in my electronics class. I don't know if it was nature (tomboyish anyway) or nurture (everyone else spoke that way online), but I get that a lot. Naming the blog 'Adventures of a Freelance Murray Slaughter' didn't help (it's actually an MST3K line).
