putting up a cat for adoption

what is the best place to post to put a cat up for adoption? is there a local website to use or a section on craiglist besides 'free' that would attract the right people?

if you're interested- very handsome sand-point white siamese-influenced cat, less than year old, small, energetic, perky and friendly, with blue eyes. Name is Max. Declawed on front paws (not my doing), totally indoor, comes with litter pan and food. Fixed and has all vaccines necessary for NH.
