So I was sick, and last night I just thought 'I will go to sleep now, and just check the deal sites in the morning.' That'll learn me.

$15 for $30 at Redbones. Woot.

Please note if has a pretty short turn around; these need to be used by May 31, 2011. However they have changed from their last offer, which was 1 per table; you can use 2 per table for groups of 4 or more. Not for take out.

does anybody know if the groupon can be used for booze only (not dinner). The food is not my type thing, but I really like their booze selection.

This question is coming up in the groupon discussion:
http://www.groupon.com/deals/redbones-bbq-boston/posts

My interpretation is "redbones thinks it's good for food-with-booze, not for booze-only, but they didn't say that in their fine print, so there may be argument."

Thanks. That's a really helpful link. I guess it's gonna be a succotash & salad meal + plenty of bourbon.

Sadly, they were sold out before I got home from work. But the deal w/ alcohol, as I understand it, is that the booze cost can not exceed what you paid for the groupon, due to state laws against subsidizing alcohol. So on a $15 for $30 groupon, you can get up to $15 of booze, because then they can say that you paid for all the alcohol, and only your food was discounted, and they don't get in trouble.

It's recommended to give them the Groupon first so that you don't get surprised if they decide that what you are having doesn't qualify.

agreed - if i have any type of payment other than cash i usually mention it up front just so there's no confusion. (i have a gift card, i want to split the bill, i have a coupon, i have a gift visa, etc.) it's the polite thing to do and will save you any possible hassle :D
