Sleds near Davis?
Jan. 28th, 2011 10:05 pmActual sleds, large enough for (say) a full-grown adult's butt *and* feet at the same time. Within walking distance of Davis or, failing that, close by on the T. Tags? I'm not visualizing sleds at Tags, but tell me.
Think one of these, but $10 molded plastic sleds from China would be fine. Do I have to go to Target? Target is far.
Actual eyewitness reports of sleds for sale only, please. For example, Alewife seems like a good place to go, but actually has only tiny faux sleds for people whose idea of fun is balancing on their butts rather than hurtling violently downhill toward solid objects.
EDIT: Tags is the winner. We went there first and they had two kinds of sleds in the corner closest to the Star entrance. There were $14 sleds and $22 sleds. We got two of the former. After 3 hours of sledding at Tufts, one had two big cracks but was still marginally usable.
