Found: Grey, LG-Verizon flip phone

While Breaking up some ice on the sidewalk in front of my apartment a cell phone fell out of the snow bank...who knows how long this has been entombed in the snow. If by chance its one of you on LJ or anyone you know has lost a phone up by Teele SQ, right by Endicott St. I have it. I tried to send their "mom" a text message, but the battery died.

If nobody claims this, where can I bring it? Is there a lost and found for these types of found items?

Alternatively, if anyone reading this post has the same kind of phone, lend the OP your charger for long enough to send the text. :-)

You can probably bring it to a Verizon store, they should be able to get it back to the owner.

No. There is tremendous variability in chargers.

These days most are either miniUSB or microUSB.

(Of course, if it's an older phone or LG is stupid, then all bets are off)

my old LG phone just has a miniUSB as does my wife's old samsung phone and the chargers are inter-changable.

I suggest also posting to Boston Craigslist Lost and Found (and looking over the ads already posted in case someone reported it lost there)
