desperately seeking paper cutter

does anyone have (or have access to) a heavy-duty paper cutter of the kind that can cut bookboard/davey board/mat board, which i could possibly briefly borrow some time on? the board is 3/32" or 2mm thick.

i need to make eleven (or possibly twelve) books, so i need twenty-two (or possibly twenty-four) covers, plus cover paper and inside cover paper cut to size. i'm not sure how long it will take me to do it with a good paper cutter, but hopefully not long, and i'm totally willing to pay for the time spent. i just don't have the patience or hand strength to cut all the pieces one at a time with an x-acto.

alternately, does anyone know any place that has a paper cutter i might be able to use?

Kinkos and Staples stores have them free to use, but I don't know how heavy-duty they are.

I have a kutrimmer 1038, which has about a 14" cut length. I cut all weights of davey board on it, but the thicker sorts have to be cut twice because the board slips under the clamp a little during the first cut.

I live in West Medford; I could lend it to you for a few days but not for a week.

P.S. the ones for customer use at copy shops won't do the job; not heavy-duty enough and also probably not square.

i think you have the kind of paper cutter i want. which, cool. :D and i definitely don't need it for a week - i'd cut everything at once and get it over with. i also don't need it right away. but if i could borrow it some time, that would be fabulous, thank you.

the FedEx in Harvard Square that used to be a kinko's, on Mifflin, does have a big 'cut 500 sheets of paper' type one. I mention it just in case you ever need to cut 200 pages cleanly at one time.

just imagining what kind of project would involve that much paper at once kind of hurts my head, but this is still good to know.

I believe that papersource on Mass ave near Porter also will cut your paper for you for a fee.
