Police action near Teele?

Walking home from the T tonight, I passed through Teele Sq, where there was a squad car with its lights on, parked on the crosswalk, at the signal, across from True Bistro. There were police officers in the Chinese restaurant, True Bistro (which was closed), and the convenience store. After I crossed the street to walk up Curtis, the squad car left the intersection behind me and *tore* up Curtis, followed by two other squad cars, likewise heavy on the acceleration. Anyone know what was up?

I don't know, but there actually is a police substation right there across the street from True Bistro.
