Davis Square Farmers' Market opens today!

The Davis Square Farmers' Market starts today, from noon to 6 pm in the metered parking lot at Day & Herbert Streets. It will run every Wednesday through Thanksgiving.

There will be one more indoor 'Spring Fever' market at the Armory next Sunday, May 29, from 10 am to 2 pm. UPDATE: No there won't be, it has been cancelled.

The Union Square Farmers' Market starts on June 4 and will run every Saturday through the end of October, from 9 am to 1 pm.

Oops, I didn't know that! I'm not surprised, as the turnout at last week's market seemed very low. I'll update this post. I hope they'll publicize the cancellation elsewhere, since not everyone uses Facebook.

Oh joy! I usually only make it to this market a few times a year, since it is far away from where I live. But it's close to the T, so it's relatively easy to carry home a bunch of stuff. And I always enjoy it when I get there.

And this year I really ought to try the Dorchester one that sometimes ghappens on Friday evenings during the summer.

Today's market had a lot more potted plants than it did actual food to eat. Not surprising, considering the season.
