Plug for a Summer 'Animal Rights' course
Jun. 7th, 2011 02:39 pmHi all,
I hope this doesn't verge on inappropriate proselytizing...
I'm an adjunct prof. at UMass Lowell who lives between Davis and Porter, and I'm trying to fund more students for my Summer Animal Rights and Animal Welfare class up in Lowell. The course runs M-Th 12:30-2:30 from July 11 through mid-August, and I need 2 or 3 students or the registrar will cancel it. (A common problem for in-person Summer courses--most of my courses during the academic year have too many, not too few, students!) If anyone knows anyone living within commuting distance of Lowell who would be interested, I'd love it if you could get in touch. Basically, I just want to have a job this Summer.
I'm also going to be teaching a similar course at the Tufts Excollege next semester running Thursday nights, if any Tufts students or other locals are interested. See some links below for the course info, syllabi, and a link to my blog, to see if you're interested in the kinds of things I research.
UMass Lowell course wiki (with course archives and syllabi) here.
New Experimental College course wiki here.
Blog here.
thanks for any leads!
