Somerville residents interested in a night of social action and rock and roll are invited to come out Wed., June 29th, for a mid-week benefit titled “Johnny D’s End Homelessness Bash”. The benefit will be held at Somerville restaurant Johnny D’s, located on 17 Holland Street. Funds are being raised in support of the Metropolitan Boston Regional Network to End Homelessness, a regional systems change project that fosters innovation and housing based solutions to homelessness. Some non-profit organizations who partner with MBN are the Somerville Homeless Coalition, Housing Families, Inc., Pine Street Inn, United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, and Somerville Community Corporation.
The event begins at 8:00 p.m.; with rock-Americana band Loose Change taking the stage. A donation of $15 per person is suggested. All proceeds will benefit the MBN in support of preventing and ending homelessness among the Metro Boston region's most vulnerable households. Sponsorships are available for interested parties, and include 10 admissions each, starting at $250. Support cutting edge ideas in the fight against homelessness, while enjoying a fun night out. For more information on this event, please contact Kristina Hals of the Metro Boston Regional Network to End Homelessness at 617-449-8115, or kristinahals at gmail dot com.
