Ward 6 Community Meeting/Resistat on Monday, June 27

Greetings all. Just a reminder about next week's community meeting: On Monday, June 27, 6:30-8 p.m., please join Mayor Curtatone, Alderman Gewirtz, at-large aldermen, City officials, and Somerville Police to discuss the latest City and Ward news and plans. Among other topics, we'll be sharing Davis Square community and business district data and neighborhood crime stats as well as updates on the Community Path and Single Stream Recycling. A discussion from 6:30-8 p.m. will be followed by a Meet & Greet with light refreshments. The meeting space is wheelchair accessible. Not sure what ward you live in? I couldn't make this meeting but would love to hear any relevant updates, particularly regarding single stream recycling in Ward 6. I lived in Ward 5 for a year and it was quite wonderful to have.

Citywide single-stream recycling is coming this fall, according to Somerville Patch. This information wasn't yet available at the time of the Ward 6 meeting.

I'm not sure how big a deal this is, since right now I just put all paper in one bin and all the metal, glass, and plastic together in another bin.
