If you're a fan of what is probably the least-famous kingdom of life, Protista, you should head over to 42 Simpson to check out the gorgeous and stunningly bright yellow Fuligo septica slime mold marching across the mulch in their front yard. Pictured here is a second one that is starting to climb their siding:
