Pemberton Farms now sells beer, wine, and liquor

As of the beginning of July, you can now buy beer, wine, and liquor at Pemberton Farms. I know little about wine and liquor, but the beer selection seems to be the usual local favorites: Sam Adams, Harpoon, Ipswich, Wachusett, Long Trail, Smuttynose, Narragansett, and the like. (One of those things is not like the others.)

They haven't yet extended the hours, so you have to buy your alcohol there before 9 pm on weekdays or 8 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. They're thinking of staying open until 10 in the fall, but haven't made a decision on that yet.

(Pemberton used to sell its alcoholic beverages next door at the former White Hen / Bread & Butter 'Konvenience' store, but that closed at the end of May and is still vacant today.)

Yes, but since I don't buy it I didn't pay much attention to what specifically they are selling. The section feels unfinished, like they haven't finished stocking it yet.

They also now sell lottery tickets and scratch-offs at the cash register, which is kind of bizarre to see at Pemberton Farms.

I'm sorry to hear this, since people who buy such things really clog up lines at convenience stores.

i wish they would put all scratch tickets in vending machine type things at these places - that would alleviate much of this incredibly annoying issue.
