Update Sunday, 7/17: Everything has been claimed. Good luck, furniture-hunters, and thanks for helping me keep the small baby in one piece.

Benefit from our childproofing furniture purge! Quality furniture at frazzled-new-parent prices. :)

- Queen-sized mattress - Miralux Indulgence Pillowtop, 4 years old. Very comfortable but need to sell because of new baby who might suffocate in pillowtop. Originally $1100. Selling for $50 (no box spring).

- Large bookcase - Solid wood, six shelves. Dimensions are approximately 78" x 34" x 13". I love this bookcase - it's solidly built, and the shelves are removable and adjustable in height, but the whole thing is too tall to be safe for a little kid. $30.

- Medium-sized, newish Samsung television - though NOT plasma or LCD or any of that new-fangled stuff. Comes with DVD player, digital converter, antenna, and all remotes. Conveniently located A/V jacks for your Original NES. FREE!!!

- Wood and paper four-panel screen or room divider. Six years old. Wider than most room dividers you'll find, with each panel about 17" wide and 70" tall. Has some wear and tear on the paper parts. - $20

Available for pick-up in Harvard Square (sorry if too far away!). Note that parents of young kids probably don't want any of these. Photos and e-mail contact at http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/fuo/2496646809.html.

Wow, just how deep is that pillowtop? We have one, too, but haven't any issues sleeping in it with the baby.

I need a screen divider, but can't really handle $20 for one right now (I've been watching garage sales). If you don't get an offer on it, and can go lower, let me know, and I'll be happy to pick it up. I have vehicle access late tomorrow, maybe, and definitely after sunday.

danke! btw, you are asking a totally reasonable price for it; I just don't need one that big (I have space for it, but really all I want to do is section off a bit of the room for the cat litter and supplies).

Would you rather child-proof the bookcase? here's how you keep a kid from pulling over a bookcase (http://www.earthquakecountry.info/daretoprepare/stuff/bookcases.html) (also, conveniently, how you keep a big monitor from falling over).

If you're set on selling them, good luck!

yes, i was thinking this too.... we secured our bookshelves to the walls and have had no issues so far with our very active/climby toddlers.
