Softball scrimmage!

Weather.com has a preliminary forecast for Sunday of partly cloudy and 61 degrees. I think this may be a good day to try out a softball scrimmage, in which some folks expressed interest a couple of weeks back (and I will contact them directly, as well).

Tentatively, I'd like to try to organize this for this upcoming Sunday. I think the best place to play will be Trum Field, which is on Broadway between Magoun and Ball Squares (not too far of a walk from Davis). A good time sounds like 1PM.

On Friday, we can reassess the forecast and see if it still looks like a good day. I'll post a message on Sunday AM confirming Game On!

Personally, I have a bat, a ball and a glove. Feel free to bring equipment or just yourself!

Sounds like fun, though I don't think I can make it this weekend. I thought I'd mention, though, since I've often played ball (I'm more of a baseball gal) at Trum Field, that both the baseball and softball diamonds are in use by various leagues and such very much of the time through the warm season. I wonder how easy it is to find out the schedule...

Count me in, though I have Sox tix Sunday. However, I work at the Schrafft's in Charlestown (just over the border, across from Sullivan); there are 2 softball fields, a baseball field, and a Little League field. We play there quite a bunch (well, not so much this year yet) and they're often open, at least afterhours.

Lemme know if you want to schedule something with 6-8 (possibly more) amateurs somtime. :)
