Did anyone else around Davis just feel something earthquake-like? Max Pack construction? Huh?

eta An earthquake in Virginia, being reported as 5.8 and 5.9
And now I know about earthquake.usgs.gov

I felt it at BU. Some people are saying it's the earthquake that just hit in Virginia.

I felt it in Central Square! I thought I was imagining things at first, but my baby's bouncy chair was visibly swaying back and forth.

Me too, but in my office near the public garden. I thought I was going crazy but I saw my desk moving.

Felt mild shaking on 3rd floor of my 1929 brick apartment building. Reminded me of my days in Los Angeles.

Reports are coming in it was felt as far away as Michigan and Ohio.

I felt it in Charlestown, and my husband definitely felt it at Alewife. Scary stuff!

We certainly felt it up in Burlington, VT. From where I was sitting, it was longer than the Ottawa one from last summer, and almost as strong. Guessing by the map, we're about as far away from the epicenter as Madison, WI.

Me three! I was in North Cambridge. The general consensus in the office was that nothing was felt.

Wow, [livejournal.com profile] b0st0n must be totally dead. Nobody has posted about the quake there at all.

Felt in Kendall Square! We jiggled on the 5th floor of our MIT office, but people on the 1st floor said they felt nothing. We evacuated ourselves down the stairs (partly for the earthquake, partly for ice cream).

Lots of news on the quake all over the intertoobs. The Pentagon had a water main break.

Felt nothing here at Harvard. But my Facebook lit up with reports from Toronto to Richmond about 2 pm.

If we felt it at my workplace, we assumed it was a train going by behind the building. Oh well.

Felt it in a big way on the sixth floor of an MIT building. I have been closer to a bigger earthquake but this felt much stronger than that, probably due to the height, possibly due to less than awesome construction. No one on the ground floor felt it. Mostly fun, a little scary.

Tagging this 'weather' even though that's not quite an accurate description ;-)
