Beach roses

davis_squareHi all, My mother (who lives in western PA) has been reading about beach roses and would like to try growing some. Apparently you can grow them from seed if you get some of the rose hips in the fall (no one in western PA seems to sell the plants). She has enlisted me to get some rose hips. Does anyone around here have a beach/wild rose bush that they would be willing to let me cut some rose hips from? Anywhere in the Davis area would be great.
