Contractor recommendations?

I need a couple of things done on my house and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations (or names of people to avoid) for contractors for these jobs. First, I need to completely replace my gutters. Secondly, there is a little asphalt path going down the side of the house that's in really crummy shape -- I want to replace it but am not sure with what (bricks, cement, stones?) -- need a contractor to give quotes for the different possibilities.

I'm happy to recommend Junior (Lair Calais) at J Construction. I've worked with a couple contractors in the area at this point, and taken quotes from a lot of them; he's not the lowest priced, but he's trustworthy and communicates well. He'll tell you what he looks for in a job well done, and he's both accurate and honest about how much things are going to cost.

+1 he has worked on my yard for 3 seasons now. He even lowered the price when he realized that less materials were needed for a certain aspect of the job
