I walked by it yesterday evening. The sign says "Opening Soon" and gives three phone numbers:

617-776-0100 - Upholstery
617-764-3215 - Chair Caning
617-764-3196 - Antiques Repair

as well as a website: http://CaningShoppe.com

so they may still be able to do your repair, even though the storefront is not yet open.

it's entirely possible, but i was a bit pressed for time, so i went with one that was actually open and could just look at the chair and deal with it.
