Photographer for baby portraits?

As the holidays approach (AHHH), we're interested in getting some Christmasey baby pictures done of our 3 month old. There are plenty of corporate type portrait studios around, but we'd rather give our money to a small business or individual. We don't know anything about taking photos of babies, other than the candids we snap.

Do you fine folks have any recommendations, or are maybe a willing photographer yourself?

Try Mariah Gale. I think she takes some of the best children's photos I've ever seen, and I went to high school with her!

I'll add another recommendation for Frank, Jade Moran (http://jademoran.com/)'s husband. Jade has her jewelry studio up on Highland Ave near/across from the Hospital. I don't know if Frank still does photography for hire anymore, but he's done some great stuff in the past, and has been a professional wedding photographer, as well as a studio photographer.

http://www.felixrust.com/ has been mostly weddings, but is now expanding to do some amazing photography for expecting moms and pre-toddler children. Their reviews are phenomenal and they're very cool and very professional people.
