There's a free offer of some really lovely posters and educational material and even seeds promoting awareness of urban birds, from Cornell University.
Because, as you know, birds are people too! And some of them are especially awesome people that you might want to get to know even better. :-)
(I remember when I was up all night with a horrible toothache several years ago, when we were living behind the Armory, on Hudson Street, and I was just waiting to go to Tufts dental school to have an emergency tooth extraction, I was sitting on the front steps at something like 5 am, just as the sun was rising, a hummingbird, which I'd never seen in Somerville before, quietly flitted in and around the blossoms of the jasmine bush that was surrounding our tiny front garden. That sweet tiny bird having her breakfast made my otherwise tortuously painful morning just a little bit more tolerable. Thanks hummingbird!)
