I remember in the past years someone has been able to do the leg work and find out what stores were offering what discounts for midnight madness ahead of time. I am lazy, but was wondering if any one else has done so, or plans to do so? if anyone out there does, could they please post here to update those of us to lazy to figure it out on our own? :)

It was me! Here's my list so far:

Artifaktori: 15% off vintage items until midnight
Boston Shaker: complimentary beverages plus sales on items
Buffalo Exchange: discounts until 10 pm.
Comicazi: discounts on selected items plus "something special"
Dave's Fresh Pasta: 10% off featured items and free samples, including Fiore di Nonno, The Chocolate Tarte Grillo's Pickles, Taza Chocolate, and samples of wines and local beer until 11 pm.
Davis Squared: Up to 20% off items (progressive) and a DJ in store, plus a "bargain table" with pre-packaged gifts and refreshments
Found (a new designer consignment store where PLRG used to be): progressive sales through the evening
Johnny D's: no covers for shoppers and $1 hot dogs
Kickass Cupcakes
Magpie: progressive sales plus refreshments
Suneri: progressive sales from 10% to 50% off, refreshments, and a raffle and silent auction benefitting Kate Kenworthy Rodrigues.
Sunshine Lucy
Thalia Tringo Real Estate: TL Litt photography art show opening, "Elements and Artifacts," and refreshments
When Pigs Fly: Roll the dice for a discount (1=10% off, 2=20% off, etc.)
Zipcar: Host a table in Statue Park throughout the evening

And here's a map: http://g.co/maps/hq35n

I'll post updates as I find them!

Comicazi: Still working out details, may do another "treasure hunt," but not sure yet
Found: will also have food (in addition to the progressive sale)
Kickass Cupcakes: Cupcake price drops every two hours
Magpie: progressive discounts starting at 5% and ending at 20% off, plus other sale items

You rock! Thanks for the info & updates. :)

And yeah, wth, Buffalo Exchange?

ETA: And I should have checked the map before posting. Thalia Tringo is marked in the wrong place. She's right next to the bike path just before Willow, in the new development.

Buffalo Exchange is a chain, not a local retailer, so they probably don't care as much.

When Pigs Fly is a chain, too, but they participate. And Zipcar even moreso. I'm just not sure why BE bothered at all if they're not going to bother, y'know?

I guess because BE originates in AZ and not here and perhaps doesn't care to have the same community outreach? I don't know. Zipcar and Pigs Fly are more localish but have expanded beyond.

Zipcar

Right, Zipcar is founded and based in Cambridge and does lots of community events and such, even though they've expanded (which is just another reason to love them, in my opinion!).

How did you find the map? I do not see it linked from YourDavisSquare.com

I didn't realize that. Thanks! (But please fix the location of Thalia Tringo's real estate office)

I noticed that all the resale and consignment places were open for this event except for La Chic Boutique on Elm Street -- wonder why they didn't participate.
