This is a shameless plug.

Sabur is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Boston. If you like a variety of flavors and dishes from various regions in the Mediterranean and Balkans, this is definitely the place to eat. The menu has changed in the last year, but it's even better than what it had been.

Dining in the lounge transports me back to the Middle East or Mediterranean region...a combination of both...and really makes me miss Kuwait City terribly, but it's the only place that I've found where one can be so fully transported during the dining experience. The service is friendly although somewhat in keeping with the relaxed time traditions of the regions the cuisine comes from, so don't expect to dash in and out.

Prices are on par for the area although their appetizers are quite inexpensive and more than make a whole meal.

Anyway, if you're not familiar with Sabur, go there. Check it out. Enjoy it. Just head towards Teele from Davis. It's across the street from PJ Ryans, down a block or less.

I'll have to give it a shot. I'll admit I was pretty skeptical because of the ancient seafood place that used to occupy that spot.

I never actually went in, I was just scared off by the freaky aura of a place that was lousy and just seemed to keep existing for aeons. :)

Despite the scary architecture I will definitely put it on the list to try.

Queen's Cafe, in Teele, btw, is a great place to get Chinese. It's literally just two little old Chinese ladies and their stove, with a fairly limited menu, but it's goood. Pan-friend dumplings, mmmm.
