St. James Church (on Mass. Ave and Beech St.) does one, but their collection was last Sunday...Next year...(they're a very liberal, inclusive, service oriented group. I'm not a member--I'm not even Christian--and I find them welcoming and their charity work honest and effective.)
We have donated to Child's Play (http://www.childsplaycharity.org/) several times, and probably will again this year. It looks like Children's Hospital Boston is the nearest Hospital:
It looks like all the drop-off events listed on the 25th Marines web page (http://www.marines.mil/unit/marforres/4thMarDiv/25thMar/Pages/25thMarinesToysForTotsProgram.aspx) all seem to be out around or past 495. However, there are toys for tots drop-offs (http://www.mass.gov/eopss/agencies/msp/toys-for-tots.html) at all state police barracks.
