Help a local director get his film finished!

A friend of mine is a director and has been working on a documentary for 4 years. It is almost complete, but he needs to raise another $15K in the next 21 days, and has set up a kickstarter campaign to help with that. The fundraiser for my documentary, Racing The Rez, has launched on Kickstarter.com!

We're out to raise the final money so we can complete it and deliver it for public TV broadcast - and we need your help.

We have 30 days to raise $15,000 dollars...

...but the kick is, if we don't reach our goal, we don't get a dime.

In Racing the Rez, Navajo and Hopi cross-country runners from two rival high schools put it all on the line for tribal pride, triumph over personal adversity, and state championship glory. Four years in the making, the finish is finally in sight. Generous funding from Native American Public Telecommunications (NAPT) has gotten us this far but we still need additional funds to finish editing and get it out to Public TV.

We have some great rewards to offer for donations at all levels including free race entries for runners, original photography from the director, a DVD of the finished film, and autographed photos from an elite Navajo runner who is making a run for the Olympic team, to sample just a few. No amount is too small and all donations are greatly appreciated.

2. Spread the Word Post our campaign on Facebook, Like it, Tweet it, rent megaphones, aldis lamps, send Lassie, sky write it from your private plane or forward this email on to someone you think might be interested in seeing this important story on their television.

Interesting project. I would give, if it was set up as a scheme where potential profits are shared with shareholders... Merely donating money for this does not work for me. I donate, when I can, only to extreme causes where people need the money or they could die or suffer horribly. Good luck!
