The trash folks will operate on a regular schedule and then swing by the day after to get those who assumed Monday was a trash holiday.

Also, to get those people who are just tired and lazy and don't want to go bring out the trash tonight when we could do it tomorrow even if we miss the truck on its first round? Kind of a nice holiday present from the city, but probably an expensive one to pay for the double-collecting...

Ours didn't get picked up either. Both trash and recycling collected on the main street, but none of the side streets. I called 311 to let them know and they didn't seem to care that there was trash blowing all over the neighborhood. Totally lame.

I'm sorry to hear that some streets didn't get any service. My street, which usually has Monday pick-up, did get trash and recycling picked up both Monday (earlier in the day than usual) and then again on Tuesday.
