SN and the pending Firefighters' Raise

Earlier, at the SN, I had noticed a new article on the pending Firefighter's contract that had this YouTube link:

This attracted a number of outraged responses. Now the page is down,

What do you think is going on? Some kind of mutiny inside the newspaper?
While this is a bit over the top, there are issues of giving retroactive raises to firefighters
at a time when the City is cutting many other services! Firefighters, behave like heroes, if
you want to be called heroes!

Wait, the SN is being juvenile and unprofessional????? UNHEARD OF! LOL

Part of me honestly thought "Maybe they posted it as a joke internally and didn't realize it went live." Then I remembered that they went to a moderated forum a few years ago, which means they have to actively read and approve all comments that appear on the site... which means someone must have known that this was live and being read/negatively commented on.

So... I guess that leaves us with my opening sarcastic surprise? Anyone who actually thinks that the SN is a real newspaper is a fool, anyway, so this probably isn't going to make any waves.

They just posted an apology without explanation. Wonder what's up. Somebody is losing it over there.
