Dentists?

I now have a doctor at Harvard Vanguard. I know they have some dentists working in their location... and there's also Casey Cook's practice across the street. People I've talked to see to go to one of the other. Thoughts? Comments?

DR. COOK, DR. COOK, DR. COOK!!! Going to his office has consistently provided me with the best dental service I've ever received. I was recommended to him by someone on LJ, and I've since recommended countless people. One of my friends actually saw him for the first time today and came home raving about how great he and his staff are. They are kind, gentle, sensitive, and just all around outstanding. It's little things like the fact that Dr. Cook actually explains stuff to you, or that they make sure you see the same dental hygienist every time, or that the receptionist always recognizes you that make this the best dental office around.

I put a vote in for Dr. Cook too! I agree with everything sissychrissy says. I was recommended to him by this community as well and he is excellent! To share my own story of his excellence.. I'd been to a few dentists who said I'd need to get a nightguard. They cost big bucks that I don't have and insurance won't cover. Dr. Cook gave it to me at a discount because it's going to benefit me in the long run with less dental work. I think he really wants to take care of his patients, not just take their money.

dr cook! sissychrissy1 recommended him to me, so i went yesterday. and it was fantastic! the hygienist i had (meg) was cute and nice and really gentle, yet did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. and dr cook was really funny and kept popping to tell us stories while she was cleaning my teeth, but when he needed to get down to business, he got down to business. he actually took the time to explain what was happening to my tooth that i was having a problem with. this is after i've been to two dentists about this tooth and they basically said, "yeah, well, one day you'll have to get a crown." he actually took the time to explain what the tooth was doing, and i really appreciated it.

they were fantastic, i definately recommend them.

I go to Dr. Cook even though I don't live in Davis sq. any more, and I like him a lot.

yes, dr. cook is the bomb!! he's smart and efficient and does good work and doesn't try to make you spend extra money when you don't need to (i.e. doesn't try to sell you random toothpastes and things). plus he sort of looks like a chubbier matthew broderick circa the cable guy.

look out though, it takes forever to get an appt with him, so you should probably call asap. i just had a cavity filled there the last weekend of april and my bf couldn't get an appt for a yearly cleaning with him until july!
